How to Draw A Cartoon Light Bulb using simple shapes

Life at night would be impossible and frankly, no one wants to go back to the time people were using oil lamps! Let's see how you could draw this useful every day object in this easy step-by-step drawing lesson!
Step 1
First, draw a rectangle to create the screw cap.
Step 2
Next, sketch the glass envelope by drawing another rectangle over the screw cap. Then, add a big circle to illustrate the main part of the glass envelope.
Step 3
Continue working on your illustration by adding a small semi circle under the screw cap. Add a small rectangle under your semi circle to create the electrical contact.
Step 4
Work on the outline of the glass envelope by joining the rectangle and the circle together.
Step 5
Refine the screw cap by adding a couple of lines.
Step 6
Draw the connecting wires by drawing a simple line like shown above.
Step 7
Add some basic colors like yellow for the glass envelope and grey for the screw cap.
Step 8
